La Prairie is adding a new anti aging anti wrinkle eye line filler to its product line.  It is expected to be available at the end of march.

Marketed as an alternative to injectable treatments, this new formula is said to revitalize the skin with a tissue lifting ingredient derived from trees grown in India. The action is increased by a nice flower extract (Spilanthes Acmella), that is known to kickstart the skins own natural properties of lifting.

The new Anti-Aging Anti-Wrinkle Eye Line Filler is touted as being a complemnt to the company’s other eye products that protect from sun damage.

At over $100 it is a little pricey but might be worth a sample based on the company’s other offerings which are of mid to high quality.

Alright I’ve seen everything now.

A company called United Holdings Group has released an application that promises to “cure what ails ya” in regards to aging. It’s based on Sacrad Geometry (yes really) and they advise you to hod your phone close while doing something or other – Here this is what they tell you -

Just hold your iPhone or iPod Touch about 1″- 3″ away from the targeted area of treatment and begin your Anti-Aging therapy session. These relaxing therapies offer a heal from within approach and noticeable results can sometimes be seen in the very first treatment but generally become more noticeable between the third and fourth treatment and continues to improve for up to six months following a treatment schedule.

I can’t make this stuff up. And of course it costs… under $3 though.

I was notified today that some fashion designers and companies would be donating to the haitian releif effort. One of the companies involved is Sunday Riley Modern Skin care. They are donating 10 % of their sales to Unicef and the funds are earmarked for Haiti. This might be a good way for you to give a little extra to the relief effort while getting a new skin product for yourself.

I don’t know why more companies don’t do things like this because it seems like a great business move. They get to have some nice publicity, people get to purchase a product they probably want anyway, and at the same time a good cause gets supported. Win win win

Abella Renewal Gel has 10% non-neutralized acid that is based in Glycolic compounds. It works to reduce the look of blackheads, start and assist the natural process of skin exfoliation, and raise the production of elastin and collagen . These things work together to try and lower the look of lines and wrinkles.

What I don’t like – It is a limited ingredient product with few extra methods of reducing signs of aging and it has been reported by a lot of users that it causes their skin to become more sensitive.

What I like – Well the price is pretty low and it seems to also treat acne in some people. It also seems to make the skin pretty smooth which can be a plus for many people.

Overall this is a decent product to try. It is low cost so you won’t breal the bank trying it out for yourself. It seems to work better for some people than others so if you have an extra 20 dollars and want to give it a shot it might be worth a test of your own.

Creme de la mer is the top of the top when it comes to wrinkle creams. Celebrities go on and on about it and normal folks like me only just hear about it.  This is due to the fact that it costs around $750 for one container of the stuff. Well, one UK newspaper recently decided to find out what exactly was in the stuff that made it so expensive.

You see the manufacturer is real secretive about the ingredients. They dance around the subject and use fancy (but vague) marketing terms when asked exactly what it consists of so as not to throw off the mystique(and the sales kaching). Well the paper got ahold of some of the creme and sent it out to a chemist to find out exactly what it would cost to produce the creme. Their findings? The ingrdients in the creme would cost about $40 us to produce. Wow.. that’s a huge markup!!

I can’t say I’m surprised really. I mean you have to know that cream that costs $750 us is gogin to be marked up somewhat. It’s a lot but what do you expect? I for one would like to try it just to see how it works but I can’t say I’m going to plunk down $750 anytime soon.
