Creme de la mer is the top of the top when it comes to wrinkle creams. Celebrities go on and on about it and normal folks like me only just hear about it. This is due to the fact that it costs around $750 for one container of the stuff. Well, one UK newspaper recently decided to find out what exactly was in the stuff that made it so expensive.
You see the manufacturer is real secretive about the ingredients. They dance around the subject and use fancy (but vague) marketing terms when asked exactly what it consists of so as not to throw off the mystique(and the sales kaching). Well the paper got ahold of some of the creme and sent it out to a chemist to find out exactly what it would cost to produce the creme. Their findings? The ingrdients in the creme would cost about $40 us to produce. Wow.. that’s a huge markup!!
I can’t say I’m surprised really. I mean you have to know that cream that costs $750 us is gogin to be marked up somewhat. It’s a lot but what do you expect? I for one would like to try it just to see how it works but I can’t say I’m going to plunk down $750 anytime soon.
